Use a New Lens

Never underestimate the power of a fresh lens! Just swapping out one tool of yours can inspire you in ways you wouldn’t have ever thought possible. Even the same image can turn out entirely different depending on the type of lens you’re using. Try it out and see where it takes you!

Never Stop Learning

There are soooo many resources out there for you to broaden your knowledge and your creativity. Take a workshop – there are tons both in-person and online. Explore YouTube tutorials. Browse Pinterest for some fresh ideas. Use what’s available to you and just keep learning!

Create a Mood Board

This is one of my absolute favorites!! Put together a mood board for a session. Spend some time scouring Pinterest, Instagram, and your favorite photographer’s galleries for some inspo pics. Once you’ve gotten them all gathered, slap them together, and *bam* you’ve got your mood board! Refer back to this board before, during, and after your session to keep it fresh in your memory and help inspire you.

Find the Beauty in Ordinary Places

Never forget to find beauty in ordinary places and things. Take a look around you! Whether you’re in the local coffee shop, taking an afternoon walk, or just lounging around at home. There is beauty literally everywhere! Spark that creativity by looking for beauty in ordinary places.

Setting goals for your photography business can be challenging. If you take the time to set your goals, you will have a clear vision and path for your business to follow. Try these tips to set your goals for the year!

Switch Up the Scenery

Sometimes we lack inspiration because we’re sticking to the same locations that we already know and love. Go to a new location and see what calls out to you. Having a change of scenery might just be the thing you needed to ignite that spark of inspiration.

Take a Break

Sometimes you’re so knee-deep into your work and you slowly feel that inspiration start to dwindle away until you’re in full-blown burnout. that you need to take a step back. Make sure you’re taking care of yourself and allowing for that rest time you need.
