Setting Goals for your photography business can be challenging. If you take the time to set your goals, you will have a clear vision and path for your business to follow. Setting goals allows your company to expand more quickly because you know where you’re going! Trust me!! A clear vision and path take the guessing out of everything. Try these tips to set your goals for the year!

SET ASIDE TIME

Goal setting for your personal life and business should not be a quick 1-hour write-up. You should really spend at least a full day thinking about your goals for the year. I know some people that spend a month goal setting. It takes time and shouldn’t be rushed.

REFLECTION

Look back at 2021 (ugh I know it was an ugly year but it will be helpful) and I write down all the things that went well, that didn’t go well, that you want to change, PERSONALLY and IN YOUR BUSINESS. Every year changes and things might be totally different this year.

PLAN YOUR BIG IDEAS

Launches, vacations, maternity leave, new services, holidays, anniversaries, time off, everything you know will happen or you would like to happen. This is YOUR YEAR, to build how YOU want. Have a CLEAR VISION of what you want your year to be like and goal setting will have a CLEAR PATH.

BREAK IT UP

Those big goals can be overwhelming when you look at them with an entire year ahead of you. Break them up into quarters. This will make it easier to tackle and put steps in place for each goal.
